The Mercedes Benz S-Class is as good as it gets in terms of opulence and luxury, apart from the Maybach what you are looking at here is the top of the range and most sophisticated Mercedes Benz to come from the German luxury car producer. This is also an AMG line and has huge number of optional extras which would have probably added to its very high purchase price back in 2014.
This particular one I am showcasing to you today is FAST, and I mean very fast, it has a stage 2 tune with a special aftermarket performance exhaust system. I wouldn’t be too surprised if it sticks with its S63 sibling. What I like though is its much more refined than an S63, the exhaust notes are not overpowering, but when you start it up in the morning you can most certainly hear the monstrous V8 Bi Turbo growling back at you very angrily.
When you speak of luxury there aren’t many cars in this price range that will compete with this, it feels like you are sitting in a very technologically advanced fighter jet that does everything except drive for you, which is fine, because driving this car is where all of the fun lies.

Shew, how’s that list of extras, I have left out a lot, but just know that this vehicle can pretty much do anything except make you a cup of coffee.

She is very impressive, and the best thing about her is that if you want you can drive her nicely and she will turn back into a sleek, luxurious refined S500.
WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS CAR WHEN WE BOUGHT HER?
MECHANICAL:
She was due for a service, so we sent her through to Mercedes Benz for an oil service and then to Corvette motors for a full check over and a major service.
One or two services have not been stamped in the book, which is also the reason that we sent her for a full check over and repaired everything they advised us too
EXTERIOR:
- All 4 AMG alloy rims had curb rash; we have professionally refurbished all 4.
- There were a few stone chips around the body, we have professionally touched them up
INTERIOR:
- The driver’s seat was ever so slightly faded from getting in and out, we have repaired that.
When we sent it into to Corvette motors for the full inspection, I was happily surprised when they informed me that there is nothing wrong with this except an engine and a gear box mounting that needed to be replaced. They actually complimented us on how clean the car is.
In short if its high-level luxury mixed with speed and A LOT of power you are after, then this presidential vehicle is the one you should be looking at. People say the S-Class is an old man’s car, well I will gladly be that old man.
