Without a doubt, one of my favorite SUVs to grace our roads, the unbreakable, unstoppable 4.0 V6
Prado is probably the most reliable off-roader that’s ever been built.
At 200,000 KM's, this vehicle is just getting started. Couple that with a full-service history from the
agents, plus a genuine one-owner status, and you have one of the best Prados currently for sale in
South Africa.
For me, it’s all about maintenance and service history. This can tell me a lot about the owner and if
they have cared for the vehicle the way it should be cared for. This one ticks all of those boxes. You
don’t get better than a genuine one-owner vehicle with a full agent history in my eyes. The condition
of the vehicle usually reflects that, as this one does.
I am a petrol Prado fan. I feel they are better than the diesel in many ways. Don’t get me wrong—the
diesel Prado is fantastic, and I love selling them, but in my opinion, this is just better. The engine is
stronger, more reliable, and will get you wherever you need to go—even if that’s the Okavango
Delta—effortlessly. What you are looking at here is a million-kilometer car if maintained in the same
fashion.

- Towing capacity: 2500 kg (braked), 750 kg (unbraked)
If you can live with the extra fuel costs, then this is the one to go for. At the end of the day, the
additional maintenance costs of the diesel equal the same running costs as the petrol.
WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS CAR WHEN WE BOUGHT IT?
EXTERIOR:
- We have touched up one or two stone chips.
- The front bumper was previously painted; there is no need to redo it.
- All 4 alloy rims have been refurbished for curb rash.
INTERIOR:
- All of our Prados undergo the usual touch-ups: steering wheel, gear knob, driver’s seat, and
door handles.
MECHANICAL:
- Nothing needed to be done here.

vehicle” because it can last you a lifetime.
